The first day of school is a very important day. Backpacks are filled with new school supplies, lunches have been packed, and most importantly, outfits have been picked out the night before to make sure your children make their very best impression with their new teacher and classmates. At seguridadindustrialcr, we can all remember the tradition of picking out our favorite outfits for the first day of school and taking a picture with our siblings in front of our house with our backpacks on. And to this day that picture is something our parents and ourselves included hold very dear to our hearts. We've added some pictures of our first days of school that our moms still adore to this day. What to Wear
The most important part of the first day of school is the outfit, of course! What’s more fitting than seguridadindustrialcr’s School Days Collection for that very special day. For baby sister that wants to get in on the fun, we love the Ruffled Sally Bubble in Apple. This bubble has so many wonderful features to swoon over. Applique apples down the front, ruffled cap sleeves, and a piped peter pan collar are just a few of them! The School Bus Picture Frame
What You’ll Need
Popsicle/craft sticks
Yellow, silver, and black paint or paint pens
Paint brush
Two red craft jewels
Scissors
Glue
Paper plate
Scrap of white paper
4x6 picture of your child
Two magnets
Directions
1. Paint six popsicle sticks yellow on the paper plate, one silver, and one black on the ends
2. Let the sticks dry and build a frame with glue. Have one yellow stick on each side, two yellow sticks on the top, and two yellow sticks and one silver stick on the bottom
3. Break the sticks with black “wheels” on it so only the black paint is showing and glue on the wheels
4. Next glue on the scrap of white paper for the license plate and the two red craft jewels
5. Flip the bus and place the picture to fit and glue it into place
6. Attach the magnets to the back of the picture with glue. Let dry and place on your fridge!

With Father’s Day just a few days away, seguridadindustrialcr has put together the perfect craft to give to Dad on his special day! Tradition has been, and continues to be an important part of seguridadindustrialcr. We incorporate tradition closely into our clothing designs to create classic and timeless pieces for families, that’s why we wanted to share a craft with you that will celebrate dad and maybe start a tradition in your family to do on every Father’s Day.
This hand tracing baseball card is not only a heartfelt gift to give to Dad but it also will be a wonderful keepsake. As your children grow older, you can look back on when they gave these cards to Dad and remember how little their handprints used to be. You can also write a sweet message to Dad in the card that he will hold close to his heart.

Directions
1. Fold the printed out baseball template on the dotted line and cut out the baseball on the solid line (leave the dotted line part of the baseball uncut)
2. Trace your child’s hand onto a piece of brown paper and cut it out. Use a brown marker to draw stitch marks around the handprint to make it look like a baseball glove.
3. Place the baseball card in the middle of the handprint glue the backside of it down.
4. Open up the card and write a special message inside!

25-30 Flowers
Scissors or gardening sheers
Large, hardcover book
Canvas 9x12 inch or card stock paper 8x11 inch
Glue Stick
Pencil
Clear frame 9x12 (optional for card stock paper)
Prep Work:
To get start with this monogrammed pressed flower activity, you’ll need to do some fun prep work! In your own garden or backyard collect flowers that are all relatively the same size. The best flowers to use in this craft are somewhat flat flowers with large petals. Using scissors or gardening sheers, cut the stem as close as you can to the actual flower. Once you’ve collected 25-30 flowers, lay them flat in between the pages of heavy, hardcover book. Allow the flowers to dry and flatten in the book for 24 hours.
Directions:
1. On your canvas or card stock paper trace out your monogrammed letter
2. Apply the glue directly to the card stock or canvas about at an inch at time
3. Stick on the first layer of dried flowers section by section, tracing out the letter
4. Add on as many layers, overlapping the first layer, to build on to the width of the letter
5. Allow for the flowers for dry at least two hours
6. If you used card stock, frame your work of art

This beloved southern tradition is an important part of many Kentuckian's history as well as seguridadindustrialcr’s history. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, seguridadindustrialcr has curated collections for children inspired by the Derby itself for years.
